The Blue Jay image by Deer Creek Cheese via their website.
Deer Creek's the Blue Jay is a juniper berry infused quintuple crème blue cheese. This unique blue cheese is made using a recipe in which five ten-gallon cans of cream are added to each vat, along with freshly crushed juniper berries infused throughout to complement the Blue Jay's botanical essence. The result is amazingly fresh to the palate, bold, yet utterly creamy Blue with a soft piney bouquet that effortlessly blooms into your mouth.
Personally, I love melting my Blue Jay cheese onto a thick New York Strip with a glass of Pinot!
According to Deer Creek's website here, this cheese is so excellent it has many different delicious pairing options! I'm inspired to try the Blue Jay with honey green tea, fresh bread and pears.
Quick fact, Deer Creek's the Blue Jay was a gold winner for Blue Veined Cheese at L.A International Dairy Competition 2018.

The Blue Jay cheese is part of a collection called the "animal series". This collection began in 2009, the inspiration for their cast of characters came from Founder Chris Gentine's beloved little boy storybook, The Golden Story book of River Bend, written by Patricia Scarry. What started as a whim, grew year by year into a unique assembly of some of the most highly awarded cheeses in Wisconsin.
