This Pizza Pie Costs $12,000

It's called the Louis XIII and it is made in Salerno, Italy.

Louis XIII pizza

The pizza Louis XIII is the most expensive pizza in the world! This pizza, created by Italian chef Renato Viola, will cost you around $12,000 USD. Let's unpack this luxury pizza, from dough to toppings.

The dough is made using organic Arabian flour, Australian pink salt, and natural yeast. The dough rests for 72 hours before being shaped and cooked. It is then topped with three types of fancy caviar, Organic DOP buffalo mozzarella, 7 other cheeses, and the finest prawns, mantis shrimp and lobster. This pizza is prepared and served to the lucky diner at their own home along with Remy Martin Cognac Louis XIII and 1995 Krug Clos du Mesnil champagne. This lavish pizza is only ~7.87 inches in diameter and feeds two people!

World Renowned Chef Renato Viola is one of Italy's best pizza chefs. He's won several pizza making competitions and is a trained pizza instructor who has taught thousands of chefs his craft. He now lives in Miami Beach and has opened a small pizza chain in the area called Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza. While they don't serve the Louis XIII, Mister O1 has a large selection of designer pizzas, that average at about $16 a pop.
