TikToker Reveals How She Spends Just $35 a Week on Groceries

Lynn

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've noticed that food prices have grown exponentially over the past few months. As food prices soar, TikToker Rebecca Chabot, known as @dollartreedinners on the social media platform, has been showing her audience how she buys groceries for just $35/week at Dollar Tree.

Rebecca told Insider that she created her TikTok series because she was "thinking about the types of people who have to use Dollar Tree as a resource for their groceries – people with limited transportation, college students, and people who live in food deserts in the US."

If you do not shop at Dollar Tree, you may not know how many food options the chain really has. In the above TikTok video, Rebecca shows that she is able to buy sausage, frozen vegetables, and many shelf-stable options at her local Dollar Tree, some even with the same name brands of items that can be found at big-box grocery stores for a higher price.

Rebecca's mission to share budget-friendly, accessible meals and grocery hauls is extremely admirable and impactful. Go check out the rest of her TikToks here!
