National Peach Month is in August each year, and I can't imagine summertime without this juicy and delicious summer fruit! Peach season begins in June and lasts until the end of August, and it is said that August is when peaches are at their peak.
To celebrate this Peach Month, I'm sharing a refreshing and bubbly Peach Bellini recipe from The Pioneer Woman's website!
How to Make the Perfect Peach Bellini!
What You'll Need:
1 lb. Fresh or Frozen Peaches, plus more for garnish
1 Bottle of Prosecco
1/4 Cup of Fresh of Frozen Strawberries, plus more for garnish
1/2 Cup of Peach Schnapps for an extra peachy boost
What Wine Is Best For A Peach Bellini?
The Peach Bellini was created in Venice, Italy, so the classic wine choice is Prosecco (a dry sparkling Italian white wine). Although, any sparkling wine will do, even a sparkling rosé!
My personal favorite wine for a Peach Bellini is La Marca Prosecco. This bubbly wine carries beautiful aromas of fresh citrus and honeysuckle blossoms. The crisp, fruity notes of green apple, juicy peach, and ripe lemon refresh the palate with a finishing hint of sweetness.
Directions:
Add the peaches, strawberries, and peach schnapps to the pitcher of a blender. Cover tightly with the lid and blend at high speed until smooth.
2. Divide the peach mixture among your glasses. Garnish each glass with more peaches or strawberries. Fill each glass half full with prosecco, stir, and add more prosecco!
- The peach puree can be made ahead of time and refrigerated overnight or frozen up to 2 months!
Now enjoy your delicious celebratory Peach Month Bellini😊
