Fall's Favorite Flavor Gets a Boozy Twist: Dunkin' Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Lattes

Madison

Is it pumpkin spice season already? It certainly seems so. Each year, the arrival of this beloved fall flavor feels earlier and earlier, cutting summer a bit shorter each time. This year, Dunkin' has set the stage with a surprising twist: introducing the new Dunkin' Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Lattes. While Starbucks traditionally waits until the end of August to roll out its pumpkin spice offerings, Dunkin' has jumped ahead, announcing that their boozy take on the iconic pumpkin spice latte is available at retailers starting August 7.

Packed with 30 mg of caffeine from real coffee, these canned cocktails deliver the classic blend of sweet pumpkin, vanilla, and quintessential fall flavors that make the pumpkin spice latte so iconic. However, the Dunkin' Spiked version adds an adult-friendly twist that’s perfect for your football tailgates and fall gatherings.

This new release marks Dunkin's first-ever limited seasonal offering in their Spiked lineup, joining their existing Spiked Iced Coffees, which debuted in 2023. From original to caramel, mocha to vanilla, Dunkin' has spiked each of their classic flavors, offering something unique for their 21+ fans. Crafted with real coffee, natural flavors, and malt alcohol, each 12 oz can packs a 6% ABV punch. Notably, the pumpkin spice flavor is vegan and lactose-intolerant friendly, making it an inclusive treat. Priced at $9.99 for a four-pack, these drinks are available at grocery stores across 27 states, but with limited supplies, you'll want to grab them as soon as you spot them.

The introduction of the Dunkin' Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte seems like a natural progression given the soaring popularity of espresso martinis and the brand's dominance in the coffee world. Brian Gilbert, Dunkin's Vice President of Retail Business Development, commented, "After receiving such an overwhelmingly positive response to our Spiked Iced Coffees in just one year, the Dunkin' Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Latte felt like a natural addition to the line."

While the wait for ordering a pumpkin spice latte from Dunkin' in-store continues (last year, they appeared in mid-August), the Spiked Pumpkin Spice Iced Lattes offer an early fix of sweet fall flavors. Don't expect them to taste exactly like your favorite Dunkin' order, though. The malt alcohol base might give these drinks a flavor closer to coffee-flavored beer than traditional coffee, which could be a hit or miss depending on your palate. However, for those early morning tailgates or autumn parties, this unique twist might just be the perfect fit.
