Forget Hail Marys and halftime shows—this football season, the real MVP at MetLife Stadium might just be… cheese. Big news: Parmigiano Reggiano, the King of Cheeses, is officially sponsoring the New York Jets. And not just for a game or two—this is a multiyear partnership, meaning more cheese-forward touchdowns than you can shake a foam finger at.

Parmigiano Reggiano partners with Jets

“The Jets are excited to partner with Parmigiano Reggiano, a globally recognized and respected brand,” says Jeff Fernandez, senior VP of business development and ventures. “This partnership continues the Jets’ long-term commitment to providing fans with the world-class international cuisine they are accustomed to during home games at MetLife Stadium and throughout New York City.” Translation: your stadium snacks just went first-class.

Cheese lovers, rejoice: the stadium is rolling out a full-court—or should we say full-field—press on dairy delights. Think the “Say Cheese” cam and the “Cheesy Dance” cam capturing your happiest game-day moves, plus hands-on sampling in the tailgate zone on Oct. 19 (Jets vs. Panthers) and Nov. 30 (Jets vs. Falcons). And yes, you can pile Parmigiano Reggiano on your favorite stadium eats at Nonna Fusco’s stands, or hit up fancy antipasto and pasta stations in the Commissioner’s Club, Green Room, and Coaches Club. Spoiler: cheese wheels are involved.

Jets x Parmigiano Reggiano

“Parmigiano Reggiano has always championed athletes and sport, and we are delighted to take to the field alongside an American football legend like the New York Jets, who share our core values of excellence and commitment to greatness,” says Nicola Bertinelli, president of the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium. Basically: excellence tastes like Parmigiano.

This partnership isn’t just fun and games—it’s smart business. With 15% tariffs on EU imports potentially shaking up the US cheese market, getting Parmigiano front-and-center in one of America’s top sports arenas is a power play. In 2024 alone, more than 16,000 tons of Parmigiano Reggiano made it to the US, making it the cheese’s top foreign market.

“The Jets are one of the strongest symbols of New York, a city that represents the beating heart of Parmigiano Reggiano PDO in the USA,” Bertinelli adds. “With this sponsorship, we want to strengthen our bond with American culture through the tradition of football, a true collective ritual that unites generations, families, and communities. American football is entertainment, conviviality, sociability, and sharing, in which food is the social glue par excellence. Being alongside the New York Jets means creating a relationship with consumers and sharing with them what makes Parmigiano Reggiano unique.”

So this season, whether you’re catching every Jets touchdown or just sneaking bites between plays, one thing’s for sure: Parmigiano Reggiano isn’t just at the stadium—it’s calling the plays. And honestly, we’re okay with a cheese wheel leading the huddle.
