IHOP’s $100 Pancake Stack — and It’s Even More Extra Than It Looks

IHOP is flipping the script on your usual Rooty Tooty with a limited-edition pancake stack that’s more gold-dusted glamour than syrup-soaked simplicity. Meet their latest—and most extra—creation: the Dubai Chocolate Pancakes, a $100 ode to viral dessert decadence that’s as over-the-top as your favorite influencer’s vacation stories.

Yes, $100. For pancakes. And shockingly, they might be worth it.

Starting Monday, August 4, this luxury stack will be available at just three IHOP locations—New York City, Austin, and Los Angeles. Only 500 stacks per city are up for grabs, and the first 25 people in line get a complimentary “luxe” version, topped with a full chocolate bar and 24-karat edible gold flakes. (We see you, golden hour.)

So what exactly is Dubai chocolate—and why is it all over your feed?

Unless you’ve been living under a rock (or just ignoring TikTok), you’ve probably seen the viral Dubai Chocolate bars: thick milk chocolate shells stuffed with crispy shredded dough and rich pistachio cream. It all started with Fix Chocolatier, and now the trend is everywhere.

A Stack Fit for a Sweet Tooth

IHOP’s version is no lazy copy-paste job. Each order includes four classic buttermilk pancakes, layered with toasted kataifi dough (think crispy, shredded phyllo) and pillowy pistachio cream. Then it’s drowned in hazelnut cream, drizzled with imported Italian pistachio spread, and crowned with thick chocolate shavings, actual pistachios, and a flourish of more kataifi.

It’s basically a chocolate-pistachio lasagna. That you eat with a fork. For breakfast.

Surprisingly, it works. The sweetness hits hard, but the pistachio cream tones things down with a more mellow, nutty balance. And the combo of fluffy pancakes + crispy dough? Addictively textural. (This is not your sad, soggy short stack.)

And even though it’s served warm with cool toppings, the thing doesn’t collapse in seconds.

If you're into food stunts, social-worthy bites, or simply curious what a $100 pancake tastes like, this is your moment. Just get there early—and maybe block off your calendar for a post-brunch nap.
