Move over, basic toasties—there’s a new champion in town, and it’s huge. In October 2023, Midwest siblings Iggy and Exodus Chaudhry flipped the script on comfort food by creating the world’s largest grilled cheese, and it was nothing short of legendary.

The numbers are staggering: 418 pounds, with 21% pure melty cheese, measuring 10 feet 10.7 inches long by 6 feet 2.4 inches wide. And here’s the kicker: Iggy and Exodus were just 10 and 11 years old at the time. Tiny chefs, giant sandwich, record-breaking glory.
But this wasn’t just for show. The brothers used the spectacle to raise money for Milwaukee food banks, and leftover slices went straight to those in need—proving that enormous grilled cheese can also do enormous good.
Crafting a Grilled Cheese of Monumental Proportions
You can’t just slap bread in a pan and call it a day at this scale. The Chaudhrys and their community built a custom-welded pan, which took nearly a month to finish. It was so massive it had to be transported by trailer, then carefully maneuvered with a forklift and chains to ensure the sandwich stayed safe and sound.
Once in place on cinder blocks, the sandwich was pressed under the giant pan to achieve caramelized bread and perfectly melty cheese. Not your everyday grilled cheese, but world-record-worthy.
The brothers even documented the process on their YouTube channel, which has 3.14 million subscribers.
