In the legendary year of 2012, the Black Bear Casino Resort in Minnesota unleashed a culinary beast of epic proportions upon the world that smashed the Guinness World Record for largest hamburger– the 2,014-pound cheeseburger! This monstrous masterpiece of meat and cheese defied all expectations. It was so colossal that in order to flip the gigantic patty a crane was needed!

More than 60 pounds of bacon, 50 pounds of lettuce, 50 pounds of sliced onions, 40 pounds of pickles, and 40 pounds of American cheese topped off the enormous burger, according to Eater.

You may be wondering - How in the heck did they pull off making this thing?

The answer is: with a giant outdoor oven equipped with four propane-fueled torches (traditionally used for weed burning) that was specially modified and constructed to cook the10-foot-diameter bun and burger on15-foot skillets. It took four hours to cook this record-breaking burger and seven hours to bake the bun.

And so, the 2,014-pound cheeseburger from Black Bear Casino Resort in 2012 remains etched in the annals of food history, a towering testament to human culinary audacity.
