Which Fast-Food Franchise Is Credited With Creating the Drive-Thru Window?

Lynn

The first true drive-through restaurant was built in 1948 by Harry and Esther Snyder of the In-N-Out Burger chain!

The restaurant, located in Baldwin Park, California, featured a two-way speaker box so that customers could order and receive their meals without leaving their cars. This system was hand-built by Harry Snyder himself!
