For drink enthusiasts, the solar eclipse on April 8 is a rare chance to witness a celestial event and indulge in day drinking. After all, when darkness falls near midday, does it even count as day drinking?


Just as the moon gracefully obscures the sun, these cocktails promise to eclipse your ordinary drinking experiences, blending flavors that range from bright and bold to dark and mysterious, mirroring the phases of the celestial event itself!


Mount Gay Orange Eclipse: Crafted with the exquisite Mount Gay Eclipse Rum, this cocktail marries the rich depths of aged rum with the vibrant essence of blood orange. A true testament to celestial harmony, it's a symphony of flavors that dance upon the palate.



Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Mount Gay Eclipse Rum

  • 1 oz. blood orange juice

  • 0.5 oz. sweet vermouth

  • 4 dashes of Angostura bitters

Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.

  2. Shake and strain into a chilled coupe.

  3. Garnish with an orange peel.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Patron XO Cafe

  • 4 oz. Aranciata (Italian orange) soda

  • 0.75 oz. fresh lemon juice

  • 0.5 oz. simple syrup

  • Half slice blood or Valencia orange for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Fill a highball glass with ice.

  2. Add all liquid ingredients.

  3. Garnish with the orange slice.

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts Reyka vodka

  • 3 parts fresh orange juice

  • 2 dashes of Angostura bitters

Instructions:

Jameson’s The Blackbird: Step into the shadows with Jameson’s The Blackbird cocktail. Featuring the bold flavors of Jameson Black Barrel, this drink is a tantalizing blend of lemon and pineapple, with a touch of violet liqueur for added intrigue.


Ingredients:

  • Ice cubes

  • 1 1/2 parts Jameson Black Barrel

  • 3/4 parts lemon juice

  • 3/4 parts pineapple juice

  • 1/2 parts violet liqueur

Instructions:
